I am one that likes to change things up each year when I decorate for Christmas. This year I’m struggling with what I want to do. The past two years I’ve done classic red and green. I don’t want to buy anything new but I want to do something a little different this year. My record player setup may have sparked an idea. Perhaps I’ll do a vintage Christmas this year.
I’m a sucker for family heirlooms and this setup was the perfect spot for my husband’s vintage ceramic Christmas tree passed down by from his grandma and holiday books from my childhood.
The new but retro looking record player and speaker play my collection of secondhand vinyls (found at various antique stores) to really get me feeling nostalgic.
It’s the little things like family hand-me-downs that make Christmas special to me.
I think I might have stumbled on a theme for my holiday decorations this year by setting up this little record player station. Vintage Christmas it is. I’m off to pull out my great-grandma’s nativity scene that I refurbished a few years ago. ❤️
Here are some of my favorite not-so-vintage items from my setup.
Record Player Stand // Bluetooth Speaker // Record Player // Charlie Brown Christmas Record // Kenny & Dolly Christmas Record
Do you change up how you decorate from year to year? What are you doing this year?
