VALENTINE’S AROUND THE HOUSE | 2023
01/16/2023Welcome Valentine’s 2023 around my house. I don’t have a ton of Valentine’s decor. It’s nothing like Christmas that throws up in my house each year. But I have collected a few cute items to put out that add a little cheer to the dreary winter days. I’ll link anything still linkable at the bottom of this post but most of my things have been collected over the years.
Let me show you around.
This is where I cozy up to read my favorite magazines and write blog posts. The LOVE pillow is an old pillow cover from Pottery Barn. Pillow covers are easier to store and clean than actual pillows. Then I just need one pillow insert that I can use year round with different covers.
I styled my photo ledge two different ways this year. This is how it started.
This is what it turned into when I found this cute free “I Love You” printable HERE. I downloaded the file and had it printed as a 24″x36″ blueprint at Office Depot for $3.59. The hearts image file I had on hand and had printed for $1.69. The frames are the same I use on this ledge for almost every season. I just replace the prints.
This LOVE decoration is an oldie but goodie from Hobby Lobby that used to be silver. I spray painted it gold to match the rest of my Valentine’s decor a couple of years ago. This year I paired it with a bowl of disco balls because why not?
The crystal heart candle holder is from almost 29 years ago and was a wedding gift. No idea where the heart ornament came from but it looks cute tucked into the candle holder.
Instead of doing place settings on the dining room table as I have in years past, I created a collection in the middle of the table this year.
The greenery is two different bunches of $3.99 eucalyptus from Trader Joe’s. It will dry just as pretty and will last through the rest of the winter. The sticks are the same branches I pruned from the yard and used for my Halloween tablescape, then as part of the tree topper in my bedroom Christmas tree that I shared on Instagram, and now in this winter arrangement.
Melamine plates and bowls are from previous years from Home Goods along with the turntable and wooden riser.
How cute are these gold heart spoons I found new this year?
Even the kitchen got a few touches of XOXO collected over the years.
My office wall for Valentine’s. LED lips and XO banner are new this year from Target. DIY disco ball garland was kept from Christmas.
This XOXO has made it through two house moves and I still love it.
Once last thing new this year are these fun lips. Can you believe this is actually and ash tray? I’ll be using it to hold my lipsticks.
One month until Valentine’s day. We all know I’m decor crazy for any holiday. Do you put out Valentine’s decor?
