ST. PATRICK’S BAR CART + GREEN BEER
03/09/2023Since it’s #thirstythursday and one week until St. Patrick’s day, I wanted to share the perfect formula for making your own green beer in the event you opt to stay in on the 17th away from the crowds.
I have fun setting up the bar cart for different occasions (New Year’s Eve / Super Bowl / Just Because / Christmas). Here is my St. Patrick’s bar cart this year.
Green beer with edible gold flakes.
Gold coins.
Fun battery-operated shamrock light strands.
Irish Ale beer. Okay, it’s made in KC but it has Irish in the name. Good enough.
Irish liquors.
Cheers St. Patrick’s Day!
Now for a few tips to make the perfect green beer. Yes, unfortunately, the only way I know to make green beer is with food coloring. If you are anti-food coloring, no problem. It tastes the same without it.
For the perfect green beer you’ll need a light colored beer for best results. Add three drops of green food coloring. Three drops are just enough to do the trick without going overboard with the food coloring. Don’t use powder or gel food coloring. The regular ‘ol liquid food coloring from the grocery store is what you want to use.
I added a few pieces of edible gold flakes just for fun.
Whether you go out or stay in, I hope you have a happy, safe St. Patrick’s Day.
