Another week has flown by which means time to plan for the new week ahead. Here is what we are planning for dinners this week. I often get asked if we really follow the weekly menus I post. We actually do for the most part. Of course there are days where I don’t feel like cooking or we aren’t home. On those days, I just move the meal idea to the weekend. Pre-planning meals for the week helps me be sure I have the groceries I need for the week and keeps me from standing in the kitchen at 6:00pm with no idea what to make for dinner. For last year’s Super Bowl party, I made DIY football field turf coasters. This year I’m adding to the collection with DIY cork football coasters. Being a craft hoarder never fails me. I saved several 12″x12″x3/16″ cork tiles from the craft room in my old house. Six plus years later, they worked perfect for making DIY football coasters. I drew out a football shape on scrap paper as a template to trace onto the cork. Then I cut the shapes out with scissors. The last step was painting stripes and laces with acrylic craft paint. It was a simple, quick project that looks so cute for a Super Bowl party. I set the coasters out around the house anywhere drinks might find themselves.
