I wanted to make an outdoor table centerpiece this summer. I had an old terracotta bowl I hadn’t used in years that was the perfect size for what I had in mind. Knowing small planters dry out quickly in the summer heat, I opted for a succulent bowl since succulents tolerate dry conditions better than most annual flowering plants. They can be overwintered and brought back out the next year, as well. I picked up a few varieties of succulent plants at the nursery. Once securely planted in the bowl, I sat the bowl in a clear plastic drip tray to keep the table clean while helping keep the plants watered at the same time. Then I sat the bowl and drip tray inside a grapevine wreath. Finally, I wrapped the rest of the bowl with a grapevine garland for a fun rustic look.

CUTE REUSABLE, BIODEGRADABLE DISHCLOTHS
05/15/2024
If it’s cute, I’m all in. That’s what sold me on these fun Swedish dishcloths for the kitchen. They are also 100% biodegradable, can be reused up to 50 washes in the dishwasher or washing machine and one cloth can replace up to 17 rolls of paper towels. They got me with cute and won me over with their sustainability. 1 package = 5 cloths and offers many patterns options. I’m not a paid spokesman. I just think they are fun and wanted to share a good find. Whatever it takes to make being in the kitchen more fun, right? I’ve been using mine for a couple of weeks and love them so far. When it’s time for a fresh dishcloth, I’ll toss the old one into the compost bin. Other patterns include:
