WHAT’S FOR DINNER | WEEKLY MEAL IDEAS
01/01/2023
Happy new year! We made it through the rush of the holiday season. If there is ever a slow time of year, let’s hope it’s this month of January. I plan to focus on slowing down (if that’s possible), planning, setting goals, organizing, cooking, etc. People often choose a word for the year. I think I’m going to choose a word for each month of this year to focus on. My word for January is SLOW. Here is what we’re having for dinner this week. It includes some SLOW cooking in the crockpot. See what I did there? Wishing all a slow week and tasty home-cooked meals. WINTER WONDERLAND OUTDOOR DISPLAY
12/22/2022
I love the usual Christmas lights on houses. But I love even more having something just a little different than everyone else. We used 2x4s as spacers to layer the pieces so the lights...
I’ve got one last disco ball DIY before the end of the year and this once couldn’t be easier....
Yes, I made this gift tree just for the picture. But it’s so cute, I wish I could leave...
CANDY CANE STOVETOP POTPOURRI
12/19/2022
We have officially reached Christmas week! Are you ready? I’m 100% not ready yet. I’m pretty sure for every year you grow older, time passes by 10% faster. While I spend the evenings cramming in all things Christmas, my kitchen smells of sweet licorice from this stovetop potpourri recipe. This is a fun twist on the usual simmer pot using oranges, cranberries and cinnamon sticks. This recipe uses cinnamon sticks, star anise, vanilla beans, candy canes and coconut. The coconut is optional and mainly for looks. It does not smell when simmered. The mixture in a glass jar tied with red and white baker’s twine with a sprig of greenery...
Continuing with the disco ball themed Christmas decor in my office, today I’m sharing how I made this 5′...
