HOMEMADE DOG TREATS
03/22/2023
I have wanted to make healthier homemade dog treats for our pups for awhile now. Our dogs are, should we say, on the plump side. The black one is just plain lazy and the brown one has a thyroid issue so it’s not all her fault. I feel better about giving them a daily healthy treat over pre-made with who knows what in them. An Instagram ad for personalized silicone dog treat molds sucked me in and got me because look how cute these personalized dog treats are. It took no time at all to whip up the first batch of healthy treats for Daisy Mae and Emmie Lou. While they site has different sized molds, I like the small ones for just a little tasty treat here and there while we try to help the girls watch their figures. Waiting patiently for the first taste. I’ll share my...

WHAT’S FOR DINNER | WEEKLY MEAL IDEAS
03/19/2023
Welcome to the first official week of SPRING. Finally! The extra hour of sunlight and the hope of warmer days has me eating healthier and feeling better all the way around. This week’s dinner ideas come mostly from the Keto Comfort Foods and Simply Keto cookbooks but I found similar recipes online that I linked below. As always, if you’re not into Keto lasagna, for example, you could always do regular lasagna. Hopefully these meal ideas help you think of ideas that would work for your family, as well. Here’s to a warmer Spring week ahead. LEPRECHAUN CRINKLE COOKIES
03/15/2023
Today we have the prefect treat to snack on while the kiddos are making their leprechaun traps. Maybe leave one or two near the trap to lure him in. I’m not going to lie, I’m kind of glad the leprechaun trap idea didn’t become popular until after my kids were grown. :0) Similar to chocolate crinkle cookies, these cookies are the ideal St. Patrick’s treat with their fun green color. The recipe calls for vanilla cake mix which I swore I bought. However, apparently my memory failed me. (Seems to be happening a lot more recently.) But I did have a lemon cake mix on hand and it gave the cookies a nice lemon flavor. Don’t be afraid to improvise.
