HOMEMADE FOAMING HAND SOAP

Did you know you can make your own foaming hand soap in whatever scent you like? I just takes three all-natural ingredients and about five minutes of time. Add 2 tablespoons castile soap, 1 teaspoon (2 droppers) vitamin E and 20 drops of essential oil to a foaming soap dispenser. Top off dispenser with water and shake to combine. I used orange essential oil. A mixture of oil scents can be used, as well. That’s the fun of making it from scratch. The scent combinations are endless. Note: the essential oil scent will intensify as the soap sets. If preferred, hand soap or dish soap can be used in place of castile soap.

We go through eggs like candy at our house. Luckily we have a friend that regularly drops off farm fresh eggs. With an abundance of tasty eggs and pretty eggshells, I put the shells to good use after the eggs were demolished. Eggshells can be used as a pot for planting pansies. Gently separate a small pansy stem and remove most of the dirt from the roots until the plant will fit into the eggshell. Water lightly daily so the plants stay hydrated. Empty eggshells can be used as a vase for fresh flowers. Just fill with water and add small stems. Another popular trick is to make DIY candles inside of eggshells.
