DIY STAMPED GARDEN PLANT MARKERS
04/18/2023
I’m always on the lookout for cute garden markers that I can customize to what I have in my garden. I’ve used these copper garden markers for several years now by just writing on them with a Sharpie marker. Then I had a genius idea to make them even cutter by using my metal punches to stamp the plant names into them. Granted, other people have done this before me, but I thought it was genius when the idea hit me. The charm of them is their quirkiness. The names are not evenly spaced or in a perfect straight line. To me, that’s what makes them fun. Supplies needed are copper plant markers, a fine-point Sharpie, masking or painters tape, metal letter punches and a hammer. I used the masking tape to help keep the letters as straight as possible. Using metal letter stamps and a hammer, punch out...

SPRING POTTING BENCH
04/08/2023
I have already been putting my potting bench to good use this spring repotting house plants and getting an early start with a few pansies outside. It feels good to be back outdoors with my hands in the dirt. And it feels good to have my potting bench looking cute for spring. My terra cotta pots are all out where I can see what I have as I slowly plant the summer flowers. Only a few more weeks until it’s officially safe to start planting more flowers. Happy spring!

2023 EASTER TABLESCAPE
04/03/2023
One week until Easter. Time for family to gather around the table to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. I love going overboard with my table settings for family dinners. This year’s Easter tablescape was created around family heirlooms I have inherited. My grandma’s china looks like it was pretty much made for Easter dinners past and present. I’m honored to keep the tradition alive. In addition to the china, I added candy in these pink dessert coupes inherited from my mother-in-law. The inexpensive cheesecloth table runner ties the heirloom pieces together perfectly. These bunny salt and pepper shakers are something maybe I can hand down to my own kids. I got them years ago from a Current catalog. They are timeless for past, present and future. That’s a tip when purchasing holiday decor. Look for items that are neutral, classic and simple which tend to never go out of...
