IT’S TIME FOR A LITTLE RED, WHITE & BLUE
06/07/2023
In the past I’ve always waited until Flag Day, June 14th, to pull out the red, white and blue. But two weeks just isn’t long enough so this year I started a new tradition. The patriotic decor and American flags will come out for Memorial Day and stay until the 4th of July. I’ve got nothing to decorate for again until Halloween so I’ve got to get my fix while I can. I actually don’t have a lot of 4th of July decor so I just add things here and there around the house. One spot is this picture ledge shelf my son made me. It tends to be the perfect place for holiday decorations. The architectural stars were an antique find years ago. They stay out nearly year-round but also work perfectly for the 4th of July. I made the Olde Glory sign ages ago when my kids...
Ooops, I did it again. I bought another disco ball. This one spins, changes colors, diffuses yummy scents and...
DIY SLEEPYTIME PILLOW SPRAY
06/02/2023
What happened to the days when we laid our head on the pillow and slept soundly through the night without waking once? I miss those days dearly! Now I’m lucky to get an hour or two of deep sleep before an ache, pain or the urge to pee wake me. And it’s a full blown miracle if I am able to fall back to sleep again after waking. I’m on a mission to figure out how to sleep through the night at age…not 8 anymore. A few days ago I shared how I cozied up this bedside corner. You’ll notice I added an essential oil diffuser. For those that have dry sinuses during the night, a diffuser near the bed is a must. We use a mixture of lavender and frankincense oils which are said to promote sleep in our diffuser nightly. I also mixed up a concoction that...
Since we were sprucing up the bedside table yesterday, I thought today I would reminisce about the time back...

CRAFT ROOM REVEAL | FLORAL WALL
05/30/2023
It’s finally time for a mini reveal of the new basement craft room. The room is not finished yet but just done enough to put together my floral wall storage. I’ve always had my faux and dried florals crammed into two Dollar Store trash cans. I couldn’t tell what I had. The stems would get tangled and flowers smashed. The trash cans took up precious floor space. I am so excited to have everything out in the open and organized! I use these florals in my front porch containers and switch them out with each season/holiday. I used 6″ pegboard hooks and floral buckets with a lip to rest on the hooks. Here is where we started with the basement. This was torn out in 2020. The new craft room is back in that dark corner. We finally began to put things back together in January 2023. Walls framed....
