PINE TREE HOSTA GARDEN SITTING AREA

In the front yard under the pine trees is the beginnings of my vision of a bed full of hostas. Perfectly shaded with just enough speckled light. The ideal setting for hostas. My office window looks out to this view. I knew it had potential to be a cute area of the yard. So this past weekend I picked up the sticks, pulled the weeds and set out to create a new little outdoor seating area amid the pine trees and hostas. I also refreshed my grapevine wreath bird feeder for the summer. The spring version had run it’s course. To date, we have remodeled three of the four homes we have lived in over the past 30 years. Did we always know what we were doing? Absolutely not. PEANUT BUTTER + BANANA FROZEN DOG TREATS

It’s hot outside and my spotted puppy girls don’t enjoy the heat. They are also a bit on the chunky side so healthy snacks are best. And what dog doesn’t love peanut butter? Using ingredients I had on hand, I whipped up some frozen peanut butter and banana dog treats for the dog days of summer. We typically always have bananas on hand in our house. Occasionally, a few start to turn brown before we can eat them. When that happens, I usually pop them in the freezer to use later for banana bread or smoothies. This time I pulled out a couple bananas from the freezer for these homemade dog treats. The main ingredients are 2 bananas and 1/4 cup peanut butter.
