2024 PROJECT LIST

At the beginning of the year I shared our 2023 project list. It was a wish list of things I wanted to get done around the house before the end of the year. Looking at it, it doesn’t look like we completed much. However, 2023 was a full year of remodeling and the projects we did complete were big ones. While the basement remodel is not complete, we got a good start on it. The craft room is complete and the rest of the basement is studded. 2023 HOLIDAY HOME TOUR | CHRISTMAS KITCHEN

Day eight of this year’s holiday home tour gives you a peek into our yet-to-be-remodeled kitchen. While it serves us well, I long for the day when I reach into the cabinets and don’t get a splinter. A light and bright kitchen will be mine someday. Until then, the green countertops set off the Christmas decor well, yeah? My DIY riser holds the simplest of Christmas decor. Rolling pins in a crock made Christmas-y by adding a bow. The one bright spot in my kitchen shows off the DIY gallery rail shelves and a few of my Christmas mugs. Oldies but goodies make their appearance each year. Stacked cutting boards and Christmas serving trays are my favs…along with homemade sea salt caramels. Welcome to stop six on this year’s holiday home tour. Today we visit my office; the place where I spend 80% of my days. I almost skipped out on sharing this room for a variety of reasons. 2. The Christmas decorations are just a hodge podge of things not used elsewhere in the house. We have my tried and true red and green, some things from the maroon Christmas days and, of course, disco balls. This photo is the epitome of my laziness. Normally I would have removed the heater and the fan at my desk and hidden all the cords for a more aesthetic look. The two old Dell monitors are not pretty but are essential for work from home.
