MOSQUITO DETERRENT PLANTER
05/03/2023This year while planning summer flower pots, consider planting a few mosquito deterrent planters around outdoor sitting areas.

Did you know there are many types of plants that repel mosquitoes? The scents are pleasant to humans but mosquitoes are not a fan so it’s a win win.

The secret is not only planting the scented plants but also using the oils they produce to keep pesky mosquitoes at bay by breaking off a small leaf and crushing it to omit the oils. Then place the crushed leaf near where people are seated or place a stem behind the ear. Another way to release the oils is to burn a leaf. Whatever it takes, I’m willing to try it to keep the blood-sucking little monsters away.
