FIRST DAY OF FALL POTTING BENCH | 2024
09/22/2024Though I’ll miss it dearly as soon as the nasty, cold weather arrives, it’s out with summer…
…and in with fall. It’s actually still a little bit of both seasons right now and I’ll happily take that.
I kept the setup pretty much the same as summer and just switched a few of the tired summer plants out with lush fall plants and added a few pumpkins. I actually grew all of the pumpkins here but the biggest one on the top right. Added in a dead tree limb from the yard and fall has arrived.
This is the first time I’ve grown broom corn. It will be a staple each year now. I love the fun fall plumes. I’m using them in my front porch urns, too. Stay tuned for that.
Love me a garden bust.
Coleus is a favorite of mine. A few tiny plants in the spring grow huge and colorful all summer and still look great through the fall.
Happy fall to all!
