I can’t even believe the 4th of July is just over a week away. Now that the cold weather is gone, time can just slow right on down! Today I’m sharing a quick 15-minute DIY 4th of July inspired t-shirt using the popular chenille varsity letters that are everywhere lately. I’ll be sporting my USA shirt next weekend. My motto is “you’re never too old for a little sparkle” especially not on the 4th of July. Today my daughter is modeling the shirt because she makes it even cuter.

Good news is, all of the products needed to make a shirt can still be ordered and arrive in time for you to make your own USA shirt if you’re into sparkling, too. I used my favorite $10 tee. It’s so good, I have one in every color. The iron-on chenille varsity letters can be purchased in singles or in packages. I went with packages so I could make more than one shirt.

The directions that come with the letters say they can be applied using a regular ‘ol iron. I have a t-shirt press so that’s what I used. I placed my letters 3″ down from the neckline and a half an inch apart.

15-minutes later I have an adorable shirt perfect for celebrating the 4th of July.
