DIY FERN ART PRINT
09/01/2023I stole a few fronds from my front porch ferns for a quick art project. The only items needed are a flat leaf or flower, paint, a paint brush and paper or art board. I used a rubber brayer, as well, but in hindsight, I think the paint would have bled less had I just used my hands to press the leaves.

This was my first try. Not too bad but, of course, the last leaf I did had too much paint and draws my eye to it every time. Oh well. Notice the paint splatters? A drop of paint accidentally dripped on the paper. Instead of scrapping the project, I added more splatters and it turned out to be a happy accident. That’s the thing with art. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just experiment and have fun with it.
