KITCHEN SHELVES DRESSED FOR EASTER
03/27/2023Spring is in the air. Or at least it’s in our kitchen where the air isn’t 40 degrees.
This is why I love neutral colored rooms. I can add decor for any season/holiday and the colors coordinate perfectly.
I was antique shopping this past weekend and noticed these exact $5 Target bunnies for sale at multiple places for $9 and $12 each. Glad I found mine in the dollar spot and not at the antique store.
Yes, I needed these cute flower coffee spoons. No, I don’t drink coffee.
Still going strong with the moss after St. Patrick’s Day. I added it to a ramekin, nestled in an DIY eggshell candle (coming soon) and its instant spring.
The plant may be faux but I can still smell the lavender. All you need is a little essential oil.
Oddly, I have never decorated with much pink around the house because it feels so feminine. I’m actually loving the fresh spring-y vibe. I pulled out this pink cookbook from the cabinet that works perfectly with the decor.
Tips for decorating for spring/Easter on a budget:
*Add flowers or branches – real from the yard or faux that can be used year after year
* Repurpose household items that coordinate with the holiday – books, cookbooks, cookie cutters, dishes/bowls, cake stands, candles, dish towels etc.
* Use candy in bowls as decor while it lasts
* When purchasing new items, pick items that won’t quickly go out of style and can be used over and over – $5 bunnies that look antique, real looking faux eggs, faux spring plants
* If it’s a cute but not a color you like, spray paint it
*Do what makes you happy
