I saw a painting on Instagram and decided to use it as an example to create my own. Because I can’t ever sit still and do nothing, I sketched out my version while watching a KC Chiefs game one day. I like Spanki’s Santa better but I don’t think mine is terrible. It is now in it’s place of honor on my office wall.

I had grand plans of recording a time-lapse to capture the painting process. A few minutes in my phone had other plans and shut off the video unbeknownst to me. Here is the first 8 minutes of the painting process condensed down to 16 seconds. I just used red craft paint and painted solid lines with a thin round brush. Easy peasy.
