HALLOWEEN PARTY FOOD SPREAD
10/25/2022Originally, the plan was to have our bi-annual bonfire to burn the giant brush pile on our property. However, the weather had a different idea. It was too windy and dry for a bonfire so our party turned into an impromptu Halloween party in the barn. There is nothing I like more than a theme to plan a party around. Here is a peek at the spooky food spread.
We were able to have a small fire in a fire pit where people could roast hot dogs and s’mores.
This was my take on a charcuterie board using the amputated hand idea from TikTok and my roasted pumpkin seeds. I used mini Halloween cookie cutters to cut out the cheese shapes.
Taco meat made in advance and then warmed in a crockpot for the party is an easy idea.
Chex Mix is always a fall staple
Sweet Crispix Mix with Halloween M&Ms and Harvest Blend Candy Corn for those that prefer sweet over salty.
Chocolate-Covered Pretzel Ghosts
Blood Splattered Oreos is really just royal cookie icing tinted red.
Hershey’s bars, Reese’s, marshmallows, Halloween Peeps, graham crackers and Fudge Stripes cookies for s’mores makings.
Hot Spiced Apple Cider with optional Fireball for those that dared. Midori Sour Jell-O shots and Apple Pie Jell-O shots for the adults are always a hit.
I used the old wash tubs from the horse barn (that I now use as Christmas tree bases) to hold the cold drinks. It worked perfectly.
I’ve never thrown a Halloween party before so it was fun to make all of the Halloween-themed goodies. It may have been windy but the weather was a perfect 65 degrees. It all made for a fun night with friends and that made it all worth it.
