I put this simple table centerpiece together this weekend with things from around the house to satisfy my desire to decorate something in the months between 4th of July and Halloween. While they kind of look like I purchased them as a set, all these pieces were collected at different times from different places.

Table decor doesn’t have to be elaborate. It can be as simple as a tray to hold items used at mealtime like the basket of napkins, a woven utensil holder, salt and pepper shakers and a vase of flowers picked from the yard. All together it makes a cute late summer centerpiece. Target, Home Goods and TJ Maxx are good places to look for simple pieces that can be used in multiple ways around the house.
