Stop two on this year’s Holiday Home Tour is the barn. Christmas at the barn started with only the plain 6-foot wreath a few years ago. Slowly more Christmas cheer is added each year.

When we were selecting the landscaping for the barn, I specifically chose the Karl Fuchs cedar for its Charlie Brown Christmas tree look. I absolutely love it – especially when it’s decorated with red and green ornaments. New this year is the 8-foot Santa waving at those entering the neighborhood.

Also new this year are the DIY lifesize nutcrackers standing guard.

Just down the way from the wholesome Christmas fun, we have Cousin Eddie. “$hi**er’s full.”

After dark, instead of the usual Christmas lights, we changed out the barn lights to alternating red and green lightbulbs.
