The new year and slower winter months means it’s time to get back to the weekly dinner ideas. Without planning, our meals simply aren’t as healthy and we eat out way too much. Due to my husband’s latest lab results, we have been working on eating more low-carb meals which has been good for me, too. Not necessarily a diet, just eating better foods. I am one that likes to change things up each year when I decorate for Christmas. This year I’m struggling with what I want to do. The past two years I’ve done classic red and green. I don’t want to buy anything new but I want to do something a little different this year. My record player setup may have sparked an idea. Perhaps I’ll do a vintage Christmas this year. I’m a sucker for family heirlooms and this setup was the perfect spot for my husband’s vintage ceramic Christmas tree passed down by from his grandma and holiday books from my childhood. The new but retro looking record player and speaker play my collection of secondhand vinyls (found at various antique stores) to really get me feeling nostalgic.
